Assignment two

The idea behind my illustration is saving the environment. My area of work is deforestation. In my illustration I'm going to create an image that is the opposit of deforestation.

I haven's done the sketches yet. I haven't done anything in illustrator; I'm experimenting with brush and pen tool in illustartor.

Steps of making the logo

Finally!!! my logo: This is my logo which relates to deforestation. Global warming has a negative effect on our nature. I used the axe as symbol for cutting down things. Cutting down trees increases the rate of global warming. I used the actual color of an axe to make it more realistic, and show the effect of cutting.  

The fourth step of making the logo: I made the axe by using the pen tool. I used the add anchor point tool, delete anchor point tool, and convert anchor point tool in different steps to complete the axe. I used a shade of brown for the handle of the axe and used gray and the mesh for the blade. I Used the mesh tool to make it more realistic. 

3)The third step of making the: I chose the rectangle tool for the background and from the swatch tool I used a shade of green. I used green to illustrate a tree in a more realistic way. 

2)The second step of making the logo: With the line segment tool I drew the bottom of the bars. The Bars and the lines represent a tree trunk. I used selection tool to select the bars and the lines, in order to color it. I chose the swatch tool and used a shade of brown for the tree trunk.

First sketch:

This sketch simply represents deforestation. The set of lines show a a tree trunk and the axe deals with cutting down trees. By cutting the trees in the jungles, we increase the rate of deforestation.

 

This picture illustrates an axe. I used the axe as symbol for cutting down things.

In this sketch we see a symbol of a tree trunk. The tree trunk is made by using simple lines. 

Second sketch:This sketch represents dried environment. We can see a dried and withered tree. 

This sketch relates to our closed (wrapped) environment. 

 

The sketch for this logo deals with deforestation (the conversion of forested areas to non-forest land for use such as arable land, pasture, urban use, logged area, or wasteland. Generally, the removal or destruction of significant areas of forest cover has resulted in a degraded environment with reduced biodiversity. In many countries, massive deforestation is ongoing and is shaping climate and geography. Deforestation results from removal of trees without sufficient reforestation, and results in declines in habitat and biodiversity, wood for fuel and industrial use, and quality of life).
